Palmetto Gourd Patch News

 

The Palmetto Gourd Patch has wonderful meetings. Check these out:

October 11 -Rims with naturals - Peggy Ash will show how to use philodendron sheaths for rims. She will bring some for everyone. Marianne will show you how to do a triple pine needle gourd rim. Marianne and Peggy will bring pine needles. Bring 2 gourds. One should be cut as a gourd bowl. The other one should be cut at an angle instead of straight across. See picture below. We will have a display of the various bowl linings at the same time [with the product displayed by that finished gourd.
November 1 -November will be Andrea doing birds on egg gourds with polymer clay.
December -Christmas Party and exchange. Iris, Lee & Marilyn have volunteered to do a surprise presentation or class

Meetings: We will be meeting at Creative hands on hwy 29 in Lyman on the first Saturday of each month at 10 am.

Congratulations to the patch members who won awards in the Orangeburg show. We appreciate all of you who participated. We especially appreciate the following members who went to Orangeburg to sit in the booth and/or deliver and pick up gourd entries.: Marianne Barnes, Peggy Ash, Shelia Guitry, and Angie Craft.  Ginny Donsheimer also made a trip to the show.
